Our volunteers are the heart of our organization, and we are incredibly grateful for their dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work. Their contributions make it possible for us to bring art and creativity to our community, whether through exhibitions, special events, or educational programs.

We simply couldn’t do what we do without them. Their time, talent, and generosity help us create meaningful experiences for artists, visitors, and participants alike.

Thank you to all our volunteers—past, present, and future—for being an essential part of our mission.

In 2025, 55 individuals volunteered 3,650 hours – 91 40-hour weeks! – to helping the McCain Art Gallery achieve its goals. In the 2025/26 school year, the Art in the Classroom volunteer team clocked over 10,000 kilometres delivering the gallery’s original art collection to classrooms all across the AWD School Board (From Oromocto to Juniper to Gagetown and everywhere in  between).

The art gallery has  twelve board members who regularly help with events and activities like Buttermilk Creek Fall Fair and Small Works making it all possible and lending their enthusiasm and love of art and art making to the gallery community.

There are always things we can use help with! If you have an expertise you’d be interested in sharing, drop by and let us know. If sharing an afternoon with the exhibition sounds nice, we often are looking for someone to fill in for the staff for an hour or two. there are many ways top step up to help and build your community.
