Artist in Residence: Diana Baldwin
We are pleased to announce that our 2022 Artist in Residence is Diana Baldwin. From September 5-18, Diana will be using the Print Shop at the River Art Centre as well as exploring the surrounding landscape for artistic inspiration.
Diana Baldwin is a printmaker working from her home studio in Port Williams, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was introduced to printmaking by The Mahone Bay Printmakers. With the guidance of Ed Porter, Professor Emeritus NSCADU, etching became her main focus and passion. Much of her inspiration comes from the beautiful landscape around her. Baldwin’s work has been exhibited in group and solo shows including those of the Mahone Bay Printmakers and the Nova Scotia Printmakers Association. For the past few years she has hosted a popular open studio at her home studio.
Diana’s work will be included in the Printer’s Inc. exhibit at the Gallery May 28 – July 9, 2022. Her work can also be seen at Visual Voice Fine Art in Truro and Flight of Fancy in Bear River.
Diana is looking forward to being Artist in Residence at the River Art Centre and invites visitors to drop in to the studio to chat and share ideas. You can also meet Diana at Buttermilk Creek Fall Festival.
