Grace Nickerson is a textile designer and teacher from Jacksonville, NB. She spends lots of time outside and her artwork tends to reflect the natural world around her.

Ages 7-9

3 day camps $45, 2 day camp $30
9:30-11:30 am

  • June 28-30 – Art Camp with Renata Britez
    • explore creative ways to make patterns and designs using natural materials such as leaves, flowers and food scraps and found objects to create art

  • July 6-7 – Clay Camp (Ages 7-11)
    • learn how to shape clay and found objects to create sculptures
  • July 12-14 – Nature Art Camp
    • explore the relationship between art and nature, through fun outdoor projects

  • July 19-21 – Art Camp
    • use drawing and painting techniques while practicing observational skills
  • July 26-28 – Fibre Arts Camp
    • learn to use thread and yarn to weave bracelets, dye fabric using Japanese Shibori dye techniques
  • August 3-4 – Art Camp
    • watercolours, collage and textures
  • August 9-11 – Masks Camp
    • decorate masks using dyes, prints, embroidery and other fun materials
  • August 16-18 – Printmaking Camp
    • explore a variety of printmaking methods using natural and stamping methods

Ages 10-14

1-4 pm

    • Learn the basics of natural dyes and designing your own patterns using Tie-Dye techniques and dyes from local plants and food scraps

    • explore the relationship between art and nature, through fun outdoor projects

    • use drawing and painting techniques while practicing observational skills

Camps will be held at the River Arts Centre, 8746 Main Street, Florenceville-Bristol.
