SUMMARY:Clay Animal Planter workshop with Jenna Ross
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Spring by making your own functional clay animal planter!\nPottery and plants are a match made in heaven. \nIn this 3 hour session you will be led through the steps of this basic project using pinch technique to form the pot and then adding sculptural elements to create a fun little creature. Once the pot is formed\, we will decorate with coloured underglazes. \nAfter the workshop the planters will all be fired\, clear glazed\, fired again\, and returned to students to pickup at a later date. \nIn the end\, you will have a fully functional (with drainage!) stoneware ceramic planter to home your favourite houseplant. \nOpen to all levels\, no experience necessary\, just a willingness to have fun\, let go\, and get muddy! \nMeet Jenna!\n \n“Hi\, I’m Jenna and I have a deep love of clay! This program is a collaboration between the New Brunswick Arts Centre Association and the Centre des arts d’Edmundston\, with support from the Ministry of Official Languages.\nThis Pop-Up show will contain works created by Colin\, Jenna\, and Celia for everyone to come see!
