The District of Carleton North
The Town of Florenceville-Bristol has always been a vibrant community, rich in heritage and culture. Since 2023, the District of Carleton North brought together Florenceville-Bristol, Centreville, Bath and the Local Service Districts. The DCN values the importance of preserving our heritage, encouraging the growth of the cultural sector in the district and in providing opportunities for creative and meaningful experiences. The DCN is an essential partner of the Andrew & Laura McCain Art Gallery, supporting the Gallery operations in substantial and essential ways. On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, the Gallery community thanks the Mayor Andrew Harvey and the District Councilors for their unwavering support for the visual arts and artists in our community. We look forward to another successful year at the Gallery and the River Art Centre. One of the on-going projects that the District and the McCain Art Gallery have collaborated on over many years is the Public Art Program in Florenceville-Bristol. Most recently, the commissioning of Quiet Spot at the “Bun” Veysey Active Living Centre.
