Dilys was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and immigrated to Nova Scotia in the late 1950s. She has drawn and painted since childhood. In the years since, she has attended numerous classes and workshops with many noted artists such as Roger Savage, Charlotte Hammond and others. Dilys also studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She has exhibited in the Halifax area in solo shows at Manuge Gallery and with many groups and organizations including Visual Arts Nova Scotia. Dilys now lives in New Brunswick where her works can be found at the Andrew and Laura McCain Art Gallery in Florenceville-Bristol and the Perth Craft Centre. She does portraits at the Perth Farm Market. Her work is also in many private, corporate and public collections including the City of Dartmouth and internationally.
