Annie Best markets her watercolour artwork under the name “Grannie’s Art”. Why the name?… She is a grandmother and her name is Annie, so the name was a “fit”.
Annie has been interested in art from a young girl to the now grandmother. She has painted with oils, worked with pastels and dabbled a bit with pottery and sculpture. By profession, Annie is a graphics designer and has worked for many years in that field. In 2008, she began studying under watercolour artist, Rachel Ann MacDonald. Watercolour was difficult at first, but through Rachel’s patience and training, Annie began to truly enjoy painting with that media.
Now retired, Annie and her husband, Norton, reside on Strawberry Hill Road in Pembroke, NB. They have five grown children and seventeen grandchildren.
