The essence of Tanya’s art manifests in her desire to understand her own spectrum of beliefs. She accepts her self-defining moments and constant ruminations of fragmented thoughts. She create peace within herself, and then art through the use of saturated colour, mixtures of spectral colour, and a conscious blend of mediums. Each of her painting is unique in its essence and is an attempt to explain the decomposition of chromaticity.
These paintings have new life and energy to share. Tanya cannnot get enough texture, colour and mediums to work with . Her desired material mediums are many and vary. Each has an earth quality that she understands and serves her. She has used oil, acrylic, clay paint, water colour, salt, and essential oils for her paintings, along with an alchemy of vinegar to create patina metal art and biotic and inorganic materials for wreaths. She also has a deep interest in photography, especially macro nature photography.
Tanya is a spirit junkie who studies spirituality. She tries to express this essential freedom of her psyche through her artistic works. She uses her naturalist lifestyle for inspiration. She loves the natural world and her experiences in it. She is a consumer activist, supports fair-trade and is interested in environmental sustainability.
